Employment Law

Employment law is one of our core practice areas. We represent national and international companies as well as members of professions in all aspects of employment law. Our employment law practice stands for the highest quality as well as practical and creative solutions.

Our attorneys have many years of experience in providing ongoing services in employment law for our clients, sometimes as a permanent, external legal department for employment law. Our services cover not only all daily issues in employment law, but also complex, special matters and strategic considerations. Our range of services includes, among other aspects:

  • structuring employment and service contracts as well as contemporary working hour and compensation models,
  • dismissing employees and board members,
  • use of third party personnel, as well as
  • company pension schemes.

Clients can rely on our many years of expertise in negotiations with works councils, employee representative bodies and unions, for example, when negotiating on the reconciliation of interests and social plans or collective bargaining agreements. In addition to our knowledge of the law, our clients are especially pleased by our strategic and pragmatic approaches when successfully handling critical and complex situations.

A further main focus of our activity is in the area of developing concepts to handle employment law issues when businesses are purchased as well as all forms of restructuring of businesses. This applies for

  • structuring transitions and changes in operations,
  • implementing international programs for employee participation when establishing an SE and cross-border mergers, as well as
  • support when reducing staff, shutting down and moving operations,

including negotiating the parameters with the employee representatives as well as implementation in individual contracts.

Dispute resolution before the courts and out of court is an inherent part of our attorneys' work. We regularly represent our clients before labor courts and civil courts throughout Germany, in landmark proceedings, disputes with individual employees or board members as well as disputes with works councils or unions.
